Bowling Night Thanks!

sayre ffo family halloween bowling night

Our first FFO Halloween Family Bowling Night was a big success with an amazing turnout! Hundreds of students, parents, faculty and staff!) came to Mont Clare Lanes the night before Halloween to roll some strikes, socialize with friends, and show off some great costumes. The night raised $560 for future FFO-sponsored family events! Big thanks to Joey McDermott for initiating the event, to Montclare Lanes for hosting the event, and to Jan Mahaffey, Michelle Pitts-Onochie, and Tracie Bedell for the yummy baked goods. Thanks to all the everyone who worked the desk and helped out, and most of all, thanks to the students, family, and staff that came out on a rainy night to support Sayre Language Academy and the FFO!

FFO Halloween Family Bowling Night

On the night before Halloween, October 30, from 6-8pm, join the Sayre Family and Friends Organization for Family Bowling Night at Mont Clare Lanes, 2957 N. Harlem Ave. Bring the whole family and wear costumes if you like! $5 per person covers shoe rental, bowling, AND a donation to the FFO to benefit future FFO-sponsored events. Please RSVP by Monday, OCt. 26 using the form that was sent home, or print it out here, and return it to the FFO dropbox near the security desk, so we can get a head count and reserve enough lanes. Please submit only one form per family. Do not include payment, we’ll collect money at the event.

Give with Target: Vote Now!

Visit Sayre’s page on givewith.Target.com before September 21, 2013 and vote for Sayre Language Academy. If Sayre gets 25 votes, they’ll get a $25 donation from Target, plus a dollar for every extra vote. Doesn’t sound like much but if we can convince friends, relatives, neighbors, etc. to vote for Sayre, it could add up fast! (Sure, we’ll all probably be bombarded with Target Facebook ads, but with recent budget cuts, every little bit helps.)

Remember you can also use your RED card at Target to benefit Sayre through the Take Charge of Education system. Again, 1% of your purchase doesn’t sound like much, but a few big-ticket items and your weekly shopping sprees at Target can bring in a substantial amount of cash for Sayre.
