Report Cards, “State of the School,” & International Night Volunteers

aplusReport cards will be distributed at parent-teacher conferences on Wednesday April 17 between 11:00am-3:00pm and 3:45pm-6:00pm. There will be no classes Wednesday. Teachers tend to get backed up right at the end of the day, so it’s always a good idea to come as early as possible (but not during the 3-3:45pm lunch break). The school is hoping to achieve a 100% pick-up rate.

Along with report card pickup, the school is hosting three “State of the School” sessions to update parents about student assessments, testing, performance, and how they relate to grade level preparedness and high school options. The three sessions will be: 12:30—1pm, 12:15—2:45pm and, 4:45—5:15pm

Also on Wednesday, visit the FFO table for info about this year’s International Night (Wednesday, June 5). Grab a flyer, and find out how you can help out by volunteering your time to help with setup, serving, or cleanup at the event, donating food or supplies, or donating a raffle prize. This year will feature a 50/50 raffle and we’ll also be raffling off a variety of fantastic gift baskets. Proceeds will help the FFO to support the school. April 2013 Meeting

A reminder:

Last Monday’s FFO meeting was rescheduled for 6:30 this Monday, April 15, 6:30 pm, at Sayre Language Academy. We’ll continue planning our annual International Night (to be held on Wednesday, June 5th — save the date!), and talking about some fundraising ideas. Please join us, we’re always looking for new, creative, fun ideas.

March Meeting: Monday

Please join us for our monthly FFO meeting this coming Monday (March 18, 2013) at 6:30 at the school. We’ll discuss a possible Spring Shop n’ Share opportunity, but the big topic of conversation will be International Night on Wednesday, June 5th!
